This is just what the doctor ordered. This is jetson's meets poliform.  This piece is loaded with fun stuff to do. A flat screen, curtains (remote), mood lighting and a sound system. I know where I would spend  my Sundays and  maybe my saturdays and definitely my date night evenings. This is definitely a bachelor pad must have. Halyard Chair

I adore this piece! It comes in other colors, but I must say that this particular unit with the added sheepskin throw is my fave. It's neutral so it would easily be used as part of my MODern Mix. Some other Hans Wegner pieces are available for your viewing pleasure @ www.danish-futniture.com. It is made from Halyard (which means to haul yards). Halyard is the ropes used to hoist sails on boats. Just a little bit of product knowledge.

The Aria Sofa exudes clean contemporary lines and makes for a comfy day at home in front of your favorite foreign flick. Designed by Naoto Fukasawa, this piece emphasises the Japanese aim of the designer at giving preference to details, including the less noticeable ones. There is a balance of form, which starts from the curve of the back and arrives until the long conical shape of the frame.

This piece is also covered by fabric and leather, and also has a removable cover thanks to a metallic zip on its back. Shown in a yummy purple. Did I mention it also swivels and has an optional ottoman. Let's dress it up a bit by mixing an original oil painting by New York artist Victoria Steinberg. Now that's a MODern Mix.

New Works by Artist Victoria Steinberg-Harmann

 

This just goes to show what diversity Victoria really has in her work. She was recently featured at the Rockefeller Preserve in Westchester, New York as part of their Peoni Festival. I had the pleasure of attending this event with her and was surprised to see Martha Stewart show up out of nowhere. Victoria never ceases to amaze me. She can paint anything! No, really she can. Even more incredible is to be inside her home surrounded by this incredible work all around you. Each time I have been lucky enough to be there, I have taken just a few moments to look around and take it all in. In person, these pieces as well as all of her others, capture you. She seems to get better and better!

I just love these fireplaces! They are the coolest! Below is the latest design by Dominique Imbert straight to you from MOD Props. They range from $500 up to several thousand dollars. But, the good thing is that there is a version to fit almost most budgets. For sale here @ $60 for the pair or $35 each.. the buddha essentially is the story of Siddhartha an Indian yogi who came from wealth and  never knew suffering and strife. he wonders outside of his sheltered life and discovered that there was suffering and unpleasantness in the world so he decided to search for peace and a place of no suffering. So, he travels throughout India living a life of minimalism amongst the poorest of the poor to search for true enlightenment or Bodhi. After years of starving himself, living with nothing and searching for that perfect state of total peace, he discovers that you must make your own peace in life. This is when he became known as Buddha. Being a yogi myself, the buddha has special meaning and will bring about a sense of peace and enlightenment in your own space. Wow! It has been a longggggggggggggggg time since I posted. Life has taken several turns and most recently for the better. So, hello again and I promise not to be away so long again.
